Dairin-style greening method (non-decaying bark soil "E Soil")

A low-cost, low-maintenance greening method using "Non-Rotting Bark Soil E Soil," a building material made from 100% natural materials with specially processed bark from cedar and cypress trees.

The Obayashi-style greening method has a significant feature of using "E Soil," a non-decaying bark soil developed by Obayashi Environmental Technology Research Institute Co., Ltd. "E Soil" is made from specially processed bark of cedar and cypress, and is a 100% natural recycled building material. The characteristics of "E Soil" are as follows: 1. It has the natural antibacterial and insect-repelling properties of cedar and cypress, which suppresses the growth of root rot fungi and other bacteria in the soil, thereby reducing the occurrence of diseases in grass and flowers. 2. Since the bark of cedar and cypress does not decompose, it maintains its fibrous state for a long time, eliminating the need for soil replacement or addition. 3. It is lightweight, allowing it to accommodate the load-bearing capacity of existing structures. 4. It does not get blown away by the wind or washed away by rain, making it easy to install by simply placing "E Soil." There is no need for the drainage layer typically required in conventional greening. 5. Due to its high gas phase ratio, the soil can be kept shallower than usual, while sufficiently storing and supplying oxygen, water, and nutrients to plants, promoting good root growth and supporting plant development over many years. These features allow for low-cost installation, and after installation, the use of pesticides and other chemicals is almost eliminated, enabling low maintenance.

Green Roof Method Wet Jet

Methods for freely designing roof greening, wall greening, and rooftop greening.

The Wet Jet green roofing method is a thin-layer greening system that can create a rich vegetative environment with minimal irrigation equipment and maintenance. While green roofs and green walls are often discussed with an environmentally friendly image, they actually rely on greening technologies that have a significant environmental impact. The Wet Jet has established a true ecological greening system by replicating the terraced rice farming techniques seen in the mountainous regions of Southeast Asia using metal roofing technology. Even with a small amount of irrigation, water gradually spreads downward like in a terraced field, ensuring an adequate soil moisture level across the entire planting area. Furthermore, despite being a thin-layer greening method with a low design load, it allows for the cultivation of various plants from low slopes to vertical wall surfaces.

TerraCell wall greening method

We introduce a new method that allows not only herbaceous plants but also the planting of shrubs!

The "Teracell Wall Greening Method" involves fixing Teracell (a honeycomb-shaped flexible form made of high-density polyethylene) to wall surfaces (such as concrete or masonry blocks), filling the frame with planting soil, and then planting vegetation to green the wall. There are two thicknesses of Teracell for wall greening: 15 cm and 20 cm, allowing for the selection of planting substrate thickness based on the species of plants to be planted. This significantly expands the options for the plants that can be planted. 【Features】 - Made of lightweight and strong high-density polyethylene, it can be easily fixed to concrete surfaces. - Its flexibility allows for installation on uneven surfaces and curves. - The planting substrate within the frame uses a lightweight artificial soil with excellent water retention and drainage properties. - By wrapping plant seedlings in coir pots (made from coconut fibers) and moss, it prevents soil runoff during heavy rain. - It is also possible to add high-performance water-retaining agents to the soil as an option. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Soil-less vertical greening method "Leaf Wall Method"

A wall greening method that uses no soil at all! It achieves uniform water retention within the substrate, preventing clogging and soil erosion, and there is no outflow from the substrate!

The "Leaf Wall Method" is a new type of wall greening system that uses solidified soil. It employs a sponge-like, porous material called "Excel Soil" as the greening base, which is installed with wire mesh. Unlike traditional wall greening systems that require large amounts of soil, containers, or non-woven fabrics, this method does not need any of those. The fibers are fused together, preventing collapse like soil. The plant seedlings themselves are also made of solidified soil, preventing the loss of seedbed soil. 【Features】 ■ A wall greening system that does not use soil or containers ■ Prevents clogging and runoff over time ■ Uniform water retention without water channels ■ Prevents root binding (looping) ■ Prevents overheating of the base *For more details, please request materials or view the PDF data available for download.

Resource Recycling Green Construction - Recycle Earth Green Method

Create a durable growth substrate suitable for the germination and growth of plants using locally sourced soil, while also contributing to the reduction of CO2 emissions at a low cost.

This is a resource-circulating greening method that uses site-generated soil, such as excavated soil and collapsed earth, as the main material for the growth substrate. By combining a unique adjustment technology for site-generated soil at the construction plant with a spraying method that uses a granulation agent solution in the water, up to 80% of the growth substrate can be made from site-generated soil. Using site-generated soil as the main material reduces CO2 emissions associated with the transportation of earth and minimizes the use of growth substrate materials that produce CO2 during the production process at the factory. It also creates a low-cost growth substrate with a granular structure suitable for plant germination and growth, and high erosion resistance. In traditional methods, using site-generated soil as the main material required it to be made into a slurry, as in the case of imported soil spraying work. However, the Recycling Earth Green Method allows for the omission of wire mesh installation and enables the spraying of a growth substrate made from site-generated soil at a thickness of 3 to 10 cm or more by employing 1) a unique adjustment method for site-generated soil, 2) the mixing of short fibers, and 3) using the granulation agent solution as water. The Recycling Earth Green Method can accommodate a wide range of greening purposes, from rapid greening to natural recovery greening using domestically produced native species.

Traditional Seed Sowing Worker - Original Landscape Greening Method

Introduce native herbaceous plants produced domestically to achieve slope greening.

This is a greening method that rapidly green slopes by spraying domestic native herbaceous seeds, achieving full greening while considering regional ecosystems and biodiversity. It enables speedy greening comparable to that of foreign grasses and can create landscapes reminiscent of Japan's original scenery (grasslands). Currently, most native seeds used for slope greening are imported foreign species referred to as "foreign native species." These foreign native species have been pointed out to pose risks such as genetic disruption due to hybridization with indigenous species that originally grow in the country, as well as ecological disruption caused by the unintended mixing of foreign species' seeds. This has been explicitly stated as "not to be used" in the action plan of the 2023-2030 National Biodiversity Strategy. Domestic native herbaceous seeds are stored and managed at the RS Center (seed-specific storage facility) by applying the early germination power testing method and seed storage technology that our company has cultivated for native woody seeds. When shipping seeds to the site, we deliver products that are accurately weighed and packaged based on seed mixture design for each construction unit.
